On the real, it would be such a treat to see you hook up with Oddisee track for track on an album spitting and producing. Ex. you produce for him while he spit and the likewise. Its a concept album I have never seen before, think it makes for a dope album.

Your beats hit so hard, the layering, the suttle details, man I know and respect your genius. ya old shit better than most dudes new shit.I love all music man, I hear you fine tuning, believe me.

Yea and J. Cole seems predisposed to fuck with your beats and maybe even a callabo on the mic. Sorry for all the suggestions Im pretty sure you get plenty but in this way arrogance for me is real, I know I know good music and niggas in my area come to me to hear or find out about the newest shit since, forever.

Keep it going and much more succeess

Yo matt Joe.. i really dig that idea w collabin w oddisee, my two fav guys to listen to right now on the regular and the concept was jaylib, madlib on dilla beats and dilla on madlib beats, you should check it its fresh. and douglas dooley if all you have heard is pop. demand and caltroit, get on it, blacks collection is all fire… go buy the album and go get elzhi’s the preface.. that shit will blow ur mind. and for me album of the year says it all in its name, the three tracks blacks dropped already are fire and don cornelious ain’t even on the god damn album. this is who i look up to in music and detroit hip hop will always be a fav. mad props black you keepin everything rotatin and in a direction no one knows were it will lead.

idk if my last comment worked but i wanted to make sure it got up… Yo Matt Joe I dig the idea of collabin with oddisee that would probably be the dopest shit of the century to hit the shelfs. Def. down for that idea and the concept has been done before with Jaylib – Champion Sound. Dilla on Madlib beats and Madlib on dilla beats. Its way worth the cop. And Douglas dooley, if all you have heard is pop. demand and caltroit… get on the rest, all his mixtapes are dope and tronic that was his last solo album is fire from beggining to end. plus if you love his beats get on elzhi – the preface. elzhi was one of my favs in the game since i first got into hip hop and when this album came out it changed hip hop in my mind forever. blacks beats and elzhis epic rhymes make for one of the best albums ever dogg. straight hands down. and the least to say to black my man, album of the year says it in the name. black keep it goin. ur style ain’t got no other way of desrcibin it or catorgizin than ” oohh damn… thats black again..”

a black milk oddisee collab would be a treat for hiphop and music in general. hasn’t been anything in hiphop like that since when dilla and madlib did it with jaylib

can’t wait for the new album! Black, your progression as a musician and producer is awesome! You redefine your sound everytime, without loosing any dopeness! That’s so rare nowadays. You and Waajeed ( and very few others) are the only producers, who keep hip-hop alive and interesting, just like Dilla did. From a producers view, i wish you would reveal someday, how you get that fat, grimey sound of your recordings.
Keep it up and all power to the new album!

@ David yo, son I had the Jaylib and Madlib joint in the collection and completely forgot. you right on point. Any time you reference elzhi you really can’t go wrong, The Preface is simply amazing. Also peep Diamond District by Oddisee and Before Taxes by Yu.
@ Black, I just heard the album snippets and I posted it to my fb profile at least 10 times. Im so touched by what I heard you could start a church, I’ll be a deacon. Expand the street team man ( I tell everyone I know already) , Ill pass out flyers and put up posters in boxers and timbalands in hot ass Miami, Fl. If that ain’t conviction, what is?

Yo straight up… This gonna be exactly what the album title says its gonna be… Freeway and Jake One is gonna have to take a step down to the second place position. Keep doing your thing Black… Anyone who hasn’t seen this man live needs to do that immediately. Me and my boy drove from Vegas to LA to see him @ Knitting Factory and he killed it. Putting in that work on the MPC while on stage > might have been one of the sickest things I have ever seen. I will be camped out in front of my mom and pop record store, cash in hand, ready to kill my speakers @ approximately 12:05 AM on Tuesday!

Hey man, i just wanted to say that your productionis just awesome! from the beats, the lyrics, and just the sound of your music in general stands out. J.Dilla’s status has got to be one of the best, and it’s no wonder where you’ve gotten your inpiration from, and just to let u know how big your fanbase is, I’m emailing u from Dallas,TX! Yes, I SAID Texas. Man, it’s a blessing to have you as a musician. You’ve reached legendary status, but just because u’ve got there, doesn’t mean u stop trying , but just keeping it consistent, and keeping it well-smooth or grimey, OR BOTH! Yeah, man God bless U and keep using your gift for good reasons and still keep doing on what u were destined to do and BE! : )

Album of the Year is dope. Been a big fan since Popular Demand. It’s great how every album is completely unique in comparison. Lyrically, Black definitely stepped it up on this album. Random Axe is next!

Ayooo..Im from Philly..Im posting this from Philly..Philly music is nothing like this. I swear to you, When I first purchased Sound of the City back in 2006,I fell in love. Now I produce. Black Milk is one of my biggest influences along with 9th wonder, Madlib, Khrysis, Illmind, and R.I.P JDILLA. This man makes history. Sound Of The City, Popular Demand, Tronic, and Album of the Year was like super dope. Keep em coming man. I want to grow old with this type music. That soulful hip-hop. Not that nut ass Gucci Mane or Waka Flacka Flame dude. Really upset I just spelled his name, but you get the point. This is the best shit my ears have ever heard. Just keep em coming.

I’m coming to you from Florida. I fucking HATE the shit I hear down here. I grew up in the D and moved here in 92. I missed Detroit’s hip-hop boom during the 90′s. Trying to find GOOD hip-hop in Florida is like looking for the Holy Grail, it ain’t happenin’. I just got put onto you this year (like I said, I live in FL). You, Ma Nigga, are The Holy Grail. Beats: incredible. Rhymes: got MAD flow. I DJ & make beats for my own listening pleasure. I love cuttin’ & mixing your music. Keep doin’ what you do. Stay cocky!! Dilla’s looking down on you with a big smile.

Hey, I want to thank you for putting out good music with content worth hearing. Way to show the freshmen and seniors that even the old school artists can still sell without selling their souls. All my peoples give you props for continuing a path that most cut off due to their labels. Keep it up & Keep Real.
