GREETINGS

Greetings and welcome to the new site.

It took a little while, but I finally have a place to connect directly with the fans – the important people in my life who have kept me afloat throughout this journey. As y’all know, it’s difficult to achieve in this industry, especially as an indie. But because of the incredible support y’all continue to give, I feel like I can keep going without compromising my art. Being able to do what I love and maintaining control of my career means everything. So this site is for y’all. It will serve as a direct source for the latest info, music, videos, shows and any other random things on my mind. Up to this point, I’ve been most comfortable speaking through my music, but with this, it will be easier for me to open up, share and have some meaningful exchanges with y’all about all types of stuff like music, the industry and innovative ways of doing things. I read all messages that come my way, so be sure to leave your comments. Last but not least, get to know Rosalinda and Bill Sharp; they ‘ll be helping me out by keeping the site current and noting your feedback on how we can continue to improve.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to hear from y’all soon.

- Black

Good for you kid, this is hella clean. I always felt that the major blogs would decline if every artist had their own site. Glad some stalker-fan didn’t beat you to making this site, that Premier Blog situation is really creepy.

As for Bill Sharp, your twitter stealth has been publicly exposed. Where’s the avatars in here? “We can’t just get up there like Foghorn Leghorn!”

Nice work on the new site man.

Loving what I’m hearing from the new album, can’t wait till it drops. Without doubt the most consistent producer out there. Been a fan for a long while. Went back to Broken Wax and it’s still as fresh as the day it came out.

When are you next in London to gig? If you’re over bring the likes of Royce/Elzhi/14KT/OneBeLo with you. London needs that kind of hip hop.

I’ve been waiting for this album to drop for so long. I was addicted to Popular Demand and Tronic alike, and based on the fact that some of your “throwaway tracks,” like “Don Cornelius” and “Keep Going” are more fire than most dudes’ album cuts, I think Album of the Year could live up to its name. “How Dare You” and “Welcome” are ridiculous.

My friends and I all esteem you and deem you the best producer in hip-hop today, and your beats continually get flyer. I would really appreciate an email response if possible, I always have you bumping in my headphones and cite you and Blu as the sole reasons that hip-hop isn’t dead.

You are one of the dopest, if not the dopest, producer out today.

You should post up some videos of you making beats, or in the studio. Thus, I can learn some techniques as an aspiring producers haha.

Keep on making good music.

P.S. Tour in Canada

This site is a good look for you homie. I think you doing this along with hitting people in their email to alert them with something new was a great idea! I have to say that you have also inspired my music . I bumped Tronic for GOD knows how long, I loved Reunion ( I think you really embodied the essence of James Yancey on that one BTW), and I love all the joints you did with Guilty Simpson and Kids in the Hall. I hate to be a dude that posts his site up here but if you don’t try or ask you’ll never get anything. Please check out my music when you get the opportunity. I’d love feedback from someone who inspires me heavily. Regardless, Album of the Year is looking like its gonna be that FIRE!!! Thanks for being one of the few artists that’s helping to keep real hip hop alive man!!!!

Hey congratz on tha new site. It’s way better than tha myspace thing….
I know u may b tired of hearin this but, maan I swear it seems like tha spirit of my man, J Dilla is jus flowin all through u. It’s like ur tha continuation from where he left off. I’m a very huge fan. My all time fav track is, Shut It Down. I luv tha drum programming of tha song wit tha bassline. Also I like wut u laced ur cuzz, “Nametag” wit 4 his CDs too. I think u r tha 1 that is really responsible 4 bringin underground hiphop back & 4 bringin attention back 2 Detroit. J Dilla cudnt’ve pick a better apprentice 2 carry tha torch. I feel ur whole vibe on wut u’ve been create’n. Jus plezz don’t fall victim 2 wut all those other producers r doin, stay tru.
Can u tell me how I can get ahold of sum 12″s, like a record pool or sumthin? Tha record stores around here aren’t tha greatest.
I was wonderin, y hasn’t Eminem worked wit u yet on any projects? U cud do wonders 4 him. I also think u shud b producing all of Commons music now since we lost Dilla. I wud luv 2 hear sum females(R&B) flowin 2 ur music too.
Well, I’m jus glad u created this site. It feels much better that I can get through & b more ntouch wit wut ur doin & wutz new. Holla back, “Raw”.

What up Black Milk!

First of all, Congrats on the new site. It’s hot! I just wanted to say “Thank you” for the music that you put out. Back in the 2003 or so, I almost stop listening to hip-hop because I felt that the music wasn’t as good as it was in the 90′s. But around 05-06, I started to search for more underground hip-hop to get back to the essence of the music that I’m more accustom to. I started listening to some music for Little Brother and I was like “Ok….this is what I’m talkin’ about”. And I forgot what site it was but I saw your name in a blog. I was like “Black Milk????”, let me look up this dude. I heard a snippet of the Broken Wax track on iTunes and it was over! I’ve been a fan of your music ever since. Popular Demand is still heavy in my rotation. Dudes like you, Dilla (RIP), 9th are really keeping the music alive. The Random Axe joint is going to be a banger! AOTY is going to be also. Just wanted to give you a shout to let you know that I appreciate the music. I’ll always support good music. One!

Yo BlackMilk, this site is hot, but not as hot as your music. Keep doin what you’re doin man, I been telling my boys that you are the next big thing, just watch, and know theyre starting to listen. you’re the next Dilla for our generation, and i hope you dont compromise your art or your sound for anyone. big up to Detroit, everyone in Boston is really feelin your shit, dont stop…

Black, music is dope! Why dont you add a producer 101 basics help area to the site so that others can learn to be as great as you!
